Tips
The nature reserve, founded in 1958, is 20 hectares in size, the river Jahna and the Keppritzbach make the forest with its floodplain look like in Africa. There is a lot of natural wind break on the Jahna. Dead wood is a natural part of the alluvial forests and the whole area belongs to the ecological network "Natura 2000" in the EU. In addition to many animal species, the endangered Märzenbecher especially feel at home here.
