During the day, the funicular runs through Rua da Bica de Duarte Belcio. So you can easily get from Rua de São Paulo near the Cais do Sodré train station to Largo do Calhariz, Chiado or vice versa.
They celebrate here at night.

The 'youngest' of Lisbon's three ancient cable car 'elevators' is being renovated in 2018, and should shine in all its 19th century glory afterwards.

The Bica elevator is the third of the nineteenth century elevators in Lisbon (along with the Lavra elevator and the Glória elevator). Hidden in Rua da Bica, very close to Cais do Sodré, it is the least frequented by tourists. You will recognize it by the peculiar arch of its entrance, which seems to transport us to another era.
