An idyllic gem amidst the urban hectic. I found this training course by chance and spent a few laps on the fine paved track in the middle of a small, green wooded area very happy. Nice that there is something else;)

The course itself is dedicated to the cycling legend Walter Lohmann and basically open to everyone, as long as there is no training here. When I was there, everything worked very well, there are even Dixi toilets.

Cycling training course Walter Lohman Ring (Bochum)

The cycling legend and exceptional athlete Walter Lohman was awarded a memorial with this idyllically situated training course in 2009. In addition to a fine paved track for the racing athletes, a skill parcour of pallets and wood was created. This well maintained course in a small and wonderfully green forest is reserved for cyclists and recreational cyclists - pedestrians, campers and dog toilets are prohibited here. Unfortunately, the pedalists have to complain again and again vandalism of this gem amidst the urban hectic that even found even inglorious mention in the local press. Outside the training times (which are unfortunately nowhere to be read), the freely accessible facility is available to all cyclists. Dixie toilets are available.
