The Sankt-Annen-Kirche is the Protestant church of Zinndorf, part of the community Rehfelde. The field stone church consists of a slightly drawn-in transverse rectangular west tower and a nave with a straight east end. The very simple, rectangular hall construction dates from the 13th century, the church tower was very likely raised in the 14th century. Spared from the effects of war and fires, the original building has remained largely unchanged. The interior of the church is adorned by an altarpiece from 1606 with a richly designed Renaissance structure. The church is dedicated to Saint Anne - in the upper part of the sacrament house there is an Anna herself from the 16th century. The church stands in the middle of the village green and is surrounded by the former churchyard. The partially crumbled, encircling field stone wall with a late Gothic cemetery portal was completely restored in 1998/99.Source: Wikipedia

The Saint Anne's Church was built around 1250 during the rule of the Cistercian monks. The central location of this early Gothic church in the town center is typical for Anger villages like Zinndorf. The church was built entirely of fieldstone and is the most solid of all churches built in this way in the area. It is still largely in its original condition.
The tower was probably only added in the 14th century. Inside the church you will find a niche with the figure of Saint Anne's church, who gave its name to it, Saint Anna Selbdritt. This carved wooden figure dates from the 16th century and is the most valuable asset of the church.
The key to the church and further information can be obtained from Mrs. Martina Elsholz, Tel.: 033435 / 75456 Zinndorfer Str. 3, 15345 Rehfelde OT Zinndorf.
