The church is the oldest surviving building in the village. It is a choir square church whose construction began in the second half of the 13th century. It was built in several stages, initially with carefully cut blocks of fieldstone. In contrast, the walls of the tower consist almost entirely of irregular field stones. The massive tower and solid masonry give the church a fortified appearance. The two portals in the church wall are also worth seeing. From August 1998 to October 1999, the stone wall around the church was rebuilt according to the old model and the portals were also restored.
