Hiking

The Evangelical Martinskirche in Kleingartach is a Gothic choir tower church. It was first mentioned in 1109. The nave was expanded in 1468 and the tower was renovated in 1929. Inside the building you can find almost completely painted frescos from the Old and New Testaments. These frescoes were whitewashed during an iconoclasm in the 16th century and exposed again in 1955 during a major renovation that was necessary due to a lightning strike.
The epitaph on the south side of the church dates from 1541.
