Hiking
It was built in 1855 and almost completely burned down in a fire during the Paris Commune in 1871, after which it was rebuilt identically. On the occasion of the world exhibition of 1900, the station was completely redesigned and received its present appearance with the 67 meter high clock tower. It is today one of the most important railway stations in Europe.
