The Falkenstein castle ruins are one of the oldest castles in the Schramberg district. It was built around 1150 and completely renovated around 1900. The fortress is divided into upper and lower Falkenstein. For the chivalrous flair: take a look through the small window of the upper Falkenstein into the tower room. Admission is free.

If you take a break here, you can watch the climbers in good weather. The location of the ruin on the rock is very popular with athletes.

It is a romantic medieval castle, but rebuilt in 1900. The tower room with knight figure may not be true to the original.

Great view, interesting castle, much masonry preserved. A beautiful room in operation, with knight's armor, coats of arms, rough tables, etc ...

Falkenstein Castle is definitely worth a visit. The castle, including parts of the palace, the recognizable neck ditch and the outer bailey, known as Unterfalkenstein, have been preserved.

You can watch many climbers here. Through an iron door you can see into a knight's room with armor in it.
