One of the numerous stops along the Auerhahnweg is “The Sleeping Place”. Here you can find out from an information board and wonderfully graphically how and where the capercaillie spends its nights: in the branches of the trees.

With the cozy wooden lounger, the place is the ideal place for you to take a break or even a little nap. The name of the station practically calls for it. ;)
