The original trailhead begins at the parking lot down by the Fremont River. The trail begins with a beautiful path that leads up between the river and under the rocky reef. The marker "Trailhead Hickman Bridge Trail" only shows the junction. To the left is the Hickman Bridge and to the right is the Rim Overlook.
