In two sections, the cable car takes you from Obertraun via the Schönbergalm up to the Krippenstein. The gondola of the Dachstein cable car overcomes 1,600 vertical meters. The cable car has been running since 1951 and is open daily from late April to late October. There are two restaurants and there are beautiful views up here. The Dachstein and glacier can be seen very well from here.
A detour to the summit and the "5 Fingers" viewing platform is a must.
The kart hiking trail is also beautiful, about 9 km long, to the third station of the Krippensteinbahn. The trail is suitable for strollers.
Mountain hiking is also possible here.
