Hiking

The 'Child' in this tree is in fact a German soldier from WWI. It is not known whether the soldier carved it himself or whether it was created in the 1930s by a certain Jean Graulus. What is certain is that the uniform with the typical pin helmet places the soldier at the beginning of the First World War. Over the years the figure has grown with the tree and become deformed.
