If you want to cycle along the German Baltic Sea coast, you should actually visit this place. Because here, at this boundary stone, it begins. Incidentally, with the wooden bridge, the boats in the harbor and the water birds on the nearby bank, it is a nice place to rest.

The exact border is marked on the outside and in the middle of the bridge by two metal plates.
Unfortunately, the old border house looks rather neglected (also from the inside).

Probably the most beautiful border crossing to Denmark. Whether on foot or by bike to Kollund or ........ always worth a tour!

Almost inconspicuous and hidden by the reeds, the Schusterkate border crossing is in the form of a bridge that leads over the Kruså and thus connects Germany and Denmark. Apart from the fact that it is beautiful to look at, another special feature is that this is the smallest border crossing in Europe and its bridge is the only one that connects Denmark and Germany. Small border crossing for pedestrians and cyclists. Along the fjord you come to the beautiful path through the old Flensburg city forest to Kollund.

Fortunately, the ban on cyclists applies only to the bridge! 😌 This offers a beautiful view over the fjord.

Nice path along the coast. The small bathing spots invite you to linger.

Great path for the bikes on the DK side. View of Flensburg and water life is also very nice.

Border crossing without motorized traffic, only for pedestrians. Bicycles can be pushed.

After the border, turn right into the forest then follow the path for about 1.5 km. The subsequent border crossing leads back again
