Vor Frue Church is one of the oldest churches in Odense. It is built in the Gothic style. The exact age of the church is not known. The current church is probably from around 1250.

Hiking

The Church of Our Lady (Vor Frue Kirke) is the oldest church in the city and was built towards the end of the 12th century. A wooden church had previously stood on the same site since the 10th century, which was later replaced by a granite church. Right next to the church is Odense's oldest non-church house, which was built around 1300. The building used to function as a Latin school and later it was a mortuary chapel. Nowadays it is used for church congregation meetings.
