Tips

  • The current Badalona wharf was built in 1965 for the unloading of oil products from tankers. It was used as an unloading wharf until 1990. It is a 235 m long concrete structure, with a height of 6 m, ending in a 100 m² unloading platform, supported by 16 groups of metal pylons located every 15 m. The bridge consists of two T-shaped concrete beams joined together. The beams are placed on transverse concrete loaders supported by the pylons. The transversal loading heads have a width of 3.20 m, larger than the beams because they also supported the hydrocarbon pipes that reached the refinery.

  • It's one of Badalona's symbols, but access can sometimes be closed. It's well worth a visit.
