Hessian sagas nicely represented by paper cutouts. The respective story can be found on the lamp post. According to the information at the town hall and at heppenheim.de/heppenheim-erleben/sehenswuerdheiten/laternenweg there are over 150 silhouettes.

Hiking

The Lantern Path is a special attraction in Heppenheim an der Bergstrasse. These are more than 150 silhouettes by the North Hessian artist Albert Völkl, which have been shining down on visitors from the street lighting in the old town there since 2004. Only Hessian legends are shown on the lanterns. Among other things, they tell of elves, knights, giantesses and great heroes.
