Due to the industrial boom, a branch of the Reichsbank was opened in Hof in 1887, which moved to a new building on Kreuzsteinstrasse in 1900. It remained there, later as a branch of the Bundesbank, until its closure in 2003. Attorney and tax consultant Professor Dr. Bernd Schneiderbanger acquired the building, restored it, and established his law firm, Dr. Schneiderbanger & Kollegen. The name "Altes Geldhaus" (Old Money House) refers to the building's history.

Hiking

After the city's economy picked up, Hof became a regional banking center. The financial institutions needed a branch of the Reichsbank for their daily business, which issued cash and accepted bills of exchange and checks. This came to Hof in 1887 and moved to a new building in Kreuzsteinstrasse in 1900.
