The heart of the depot is the three-aisled hall made of unplastered yellow brickwork with red cornices and decorative bands. The gable end is divided by four pillars and a brick arch with a semicircular window. The wooden roof construction made of semi-circular arched trusses, which goes back to the French Renaissance master builder Philibert Delorme, is remarkable and only occurs in this form in a few surviving buildings.
