The Italian Cemetery of Honor is striking because of its size: A memorial reminds us that numerous Italians were victims of war and the Nazi dictatorship in Berlin during the Second World War. Among other things, forced laborers who were killed in bomb attacks, but also almost 130 Italian soldiers are buried there.

They were deported to Germany after Italy no longer wanted to fight on the side of the German Reich in 1943 and were murdered shortly before the end of the war. On flat marble tombs, the names including the dates of life, as far as is known, are reminiscent of the war victims. On one side of the cemetery of honor stands an oversized cross, on the other a modern memorial, to which the figure of a mourner belongs.
