Built between 1800 and 1801 in the Neo-Renaissance style, the building is one of the oldest surviving post office buildings in Brandenburg. Located on Karl-Kurzbach-Platz, right in the heart of the city, it served as a central hub for communication and community for many decades. Its solid construction, clearly structured facade, and symmetrical design reflect the typical characteristics of the architecture of that era – robust, representative, and yet understated.
