A wonderful view of the Dresden view of the suspension railway, the funicular and the Dresden balcony.

The plateau at the Saxon steamship pier offers a fabulous place to stop and look. There are always a lot of people milling about at the pier, the nearby Schillergarten, on the bike path (!) or sitting on the benches, as well as many wild birds of all kinds (please don't feed them!!!).
In addition to the hustle and bustle, the view is of course dominated by the Blue Wonder. On the left on the White Hirsch is the Ardenne observatory and the Luisenhof with the funicular (recognizable by the striking tunnel at the upper end), in between the Loschwitzbachgrund, of which on the right is Loschwitz with the grain garden on the Elbe, the tower of the old fire station, the Baroque Loschwitz Church and Oberloschwitz connected to the suspension railway. Further to the right, up the Elbe, you can see the initially inhabited, then wooded Loschwitz Elbe slope with the Wachwitz Castle and, further behind, the Dresden television tower. When the weather is good, you can see from here along the Elbe directly to the Hoher Schneeberg, the highlight of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
