The name Prießnitz stands for Breza, from the Slavic and means birch. In addition to the eponymous birch, you can also discover marigolds, sundews and marsh irises in the Prießnitzgrund. Kingfishers, bullfinches and wrens have their habitat here. Brook trout and brook lamprey cavort in the water. A spacious place to relax!

The Prießnitzgrund, an absolutely quiet idyll in Dresden, which invites you to beautiful bike tours. You can explore the entire Dresden Heath along the Prießnitz. Many nice rest areas, shelters or just a small "beach" on the Prießnitz invite you to take a break.
