Lake Sacrow is located in the Brandenburg nature reserve Königswald, in the northern part of the city of Potsdam. It is a predominantly groundwater-stored lowland lake, which extends over 2.8 km in a north-south direction. Its width ranges from 190 m at the narrowest point to 460 m at the widest point. Due to its high lime content, it is classified as very nutritious. The waters are surrounded by a reed belt. On the southeastern shore of the lake is the Potsdam district Sacrow. The remaining shores are surrounded by the royal forest, which is protected by the Sacrower See.
