The Hockstein is a sandstone rock in the Saxon Switzerland National Park with a small but varied summit. There is a covered rest hut and a railing-protected view of the Polenztal and Hohnstein. The climb over the Devil's Bridge is very easy and can also be done by children and dogs. The adventurous climb through the Wolfsschlucht is a little more difficult and requires surefootedness. On the Hockstein there are still traces of an old medieval castle in the form of a 15-meter-long and 2.5-meter-high earthen rampart.
