Praia da Bordeira is located on the west coast of the Algarve. Somewhat secluded and far from the hustle and bustle.
The cliffs of Capo Pontal, which dominate the landscape in the south, suddenly end and a wide valley opens up. Sand dunes as far as the eye can see. The waves are breaking on the beach, a small river winds to the sea and behind the dunes a lagoon spreads.
The beach is often deserted. An abandoned wooden hut defies the wind. On the water a few surfers paddle. About wooden walkways and stairs it goes through the dunes and over the rocks down to the beach.
Sand, sand, sand - 3 kilometers wide Praia da Bordeira.
