The Oceanário de Lisboa is located on the former Expo site. It is the largest indoor marine aquarium in Europe and houses about 12,000 animals. You can discover the different oceans from below (behind the glass wall) as well as from above.

An ideal program point, if you have half a day between 2 flights or the weather should be worse.

There are more interesting things to see, experience and discover around the Oceanarium.

A great and imposing building which is completely in the water. The entrance is on the mainland and you have to walk over a bridge into the building.
