Road cycling
There are several practical bike paths around the airfield - especially the one along Mooswaldallee (Freiburg western bypass) leads out of the city quickly and with just a few traffic lights.
Update 11/2020: The "IKEA intersection" has now been provided with traffic lights in the right-turn lanes - although you regularly stand for a while, the probability of inspecting the underbody of a truck has decreased somewhat despite priority.
