Port House Antwerp

One of the architectural pearls of Antwerp is the Port House. This trendy building with roots in the past is the new headquarters of the Antwerp Port Authority. The past and future of the port of Antwerp come together in the Port House. The lower part used to be a fire station at the very tip of the harbour. This beautiful barracks was retained during the renovation and is now referred to as the start of the extensive port area. There is no clearer symbol of the growth of the port of Antwerp. Together with a striking and contemporary superstructure in the shape of a diamond, a monumental design by the famous architectural firm Zaha Hadid Architects, the building forms the entire Port House.
