Eutin weekly market

One of the most beautiful weekly markets in the region! On Saturdays in particular, people meet at the stands, in the adjacent streets and all around in the cafes and restaurants for shopping, chatting and brunching. Or afterwards go to an exhibition, to the library, to the castle ...

The market offers a wide range (also in organic quality) from fruit & vegetables to fish, meat and sausage products, cheese specialties, spices, delicatessen and baked goods to flowers, plants, local fruit brandies or foreign delicacies.

Eutin's market square has a rich history. Eutin was declared a market town in 1156 and was redesigned accordingly the following year. Then as now, its central location at the heart of the town served as a meeting place for trade and mutual exchange. Since Eutin was spared bombing raids during World War II, the market square is still surrounded by numerous medieval buildings and historic structures. These include the brick St. Michael's Church, completed between 1210 and 1230, the Widow's Palace, the town hall with its neoclassical façade, and the former court pharmacy. The weekly market takes place here every Wednesday and Saturday, offering regional and organic products.
