The Dettweiler temple is 200 meters away from the Falkenstein castle ruins, hidden in the dense deciduous forest. This offers a furious view of the Rhine-Main level.
In honor of Dr. Dettweiler (1837-1904) the "Dettweiler Temple" was built on the Devil's Pulpit in 1896.
In 1996 the temple was restored by the local association after 100 years of existence.
The temple was again completely renovated in 2008 by the Broermann Foundation.
