200 meters from the Falkenstein castle ruins, hidden in the thick deciduous forest, lies the Dettweiler temple. This offers a fantastic view of the Rhine-Main plain. In honor of Dr. Dettweiler (1837-1904) the "Dettweiler Temple" was built in 1896 on the Teufelskanzel. After 100 years of existence, it was restored by the Heimatverein in 1996. The temple was completely renovated again in 2008 by the Broermann Foundation.
