The lean meadows on the Filsenberg plateau and the cone of the Meisenbühl are protected because of the rare plants growing there, such as orchids, Turk's cap lilies, gentians, and others. At the southeast end of the mountain, from the so-called Devil's Hole, you have a beautiful view of Mössingen's neighboring local mountain, the Farrenberg, as well as the upper Steinlachtal valley.
