The "Wernersche Haus" from 1606 is the most beautiful, richly decorated half-timbered house in the city, which survived the attacks during the Second World War and is a testament to the once numerous and magnificent late Renaissance half-timbered houses that shaped the historic cityscape of Hildesheim until 1945.
