As a native of Hildesheim, I have known the marketplace all my life. At that time I was happy and grateful that they could bring themselves to recreate the historic market square. An absolutely right decision 👍

There is a lot to discover on the historic market square, including the butcher's office, the town hall, the Wedekindhaus, the Tempelhaus, the Lüntzelhaus, the Rolandhaus, the baker's office, the Stadtschenke and the Rokokohaus, as well as the Wollenwebergildehaus.
