      Explored Vlieland today. The landscape is similar to Texel, only much quieter. Vlieland is more for walking, as there are few cycle paths. For a short stay (long weekend) very well suited.

      At the southern tip of the island there is a pristine beach - completely empty. You cycle to the barracks (pedestrians and bicycles are allowed) and then turn right onto the hiking trail directly in front of the barracks. This leads to the deserted 500 m wide beach. This is awesome.
