Since 1863, a cross has commemorated the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig, in which Anhalt troops also took part in 1813. From the Great Gegenstein, the brave "stair climber" has a wonderful panoramic view of the Brocken massif and the foothills of the Harz Mountains.
