Today I wanted to show Uwe our local mountain and a couple of chic trails before and after. Well, the weather forecast was not really ideal, we set off anyway. 😉 Everything went as planned up to the Riechheimer Hügel. After that we had to improvise a little. The roads were bumpy and softened and muddy by the rain. The way back then led over an old cart path, the museum village and a few Steigertrails. 😃

On the spur of the moment, Torsten and I set out today to enjoy the beautiful weather and to clear a few trails. My evening round served as the basis, which Torsten was able to significantly upgrade in a few places. I'll take the changes over to my after-work session.
We had a lot of fun on the way, including a little trail maintenance. The stinging nettle path at the quarry (old Miwo) was overgrown again. Using our shins, we put that back in order.
In Müllershausen there was a delicious cellar beer and the trails ran afterwards as if by themselves. At Marco in Oetzt we refilled the storerooms with a wheat beer and the bike somehow found its way back to Weimar. I ended up in the Strava top ten on one of these trails.
In Weimar there was a delicious Thuringian bratwurst from the local grill and a great trail afternoon slowly ended.
Thanks Torsten, mountain biking is fun this way.

»Misery: the annual Brockentour« ... that sounds as if it was stress. It was absolutely not. Today was a nice last day of vacation. The weather meant it really well and so we could undertake our annual Brocken conquest.Start and finish were in misery on the hiking car park. A day ticket costs 7.00 euros. Pretty fat. From there we drove on forest and forest paths along the HSB to Drei Annen Hohne train station. From there we drove up Eschweger Strasse, Glashüttenweg and Brockenstrasse all the way to the top. Overall, the route up to the last crossing of the Brocken Railway was quite empty of people. They have probably all gathered on the last stretch and the Brock plateau. After a few minutes and without the pea soup with bockwurst, we drove over the new Goetheweg, the triangular pile and the Sandbrinkstraße to Schierke and over a piece of Teufelsteig to the Schnorerklippe. In the end it was a nice 35 km and 908 hm. It was nice.
