Beeskow Castle, mentioned in the city's oldest document as early as 1272, can look back on an eventful history of construction and use. Initially, the moated castle was built as a wooden structure. It was not until the beginning of the 16th century that the building was converted into a castle. The preserved 30 meter high keep dates from this time.

In the exhibition center there are changing exhibitions of painting, graphics, sculpture, photography; political, historical, economic and ecological topics.
