The decorative window frame with the angel is above the front door of the former hotel "De Engel" at Grote Kerkhof 21 and is a design by Anton Geerlings (Rotterdam, 1923). The building is a massive 19th century plastered cornice construction with entablature, cordon bands and decorative window pediments. It was actually a hotel and is under monument protection. Today it is a residential building.
