Anyone traveling along the Spree Cycle Path and needing a break just before Burg should note this spot: no sign, no bench, no trash can – but it's a real insider tip. Located right on a small bend in the river, the shallow bank invites you to take a breather.

A felled tree serves as an improvised seat, the water gently rushes over the stones, and with a bit of luck, a kingfisher might flit by. The ground is flat, the space open – ideal for a picnic on the grass or simply for taking off your shoes and putting on your feet.

Warning: no shade, no infrastructure. If you take a break here, it's best to bring your own – but in return, you'll find pure nature. And the feeling of being completely alone with the Spree for a few minutes.
