This is where the anticipation for the rest of the tour always begins, because from here you go on one of the trails marked with the black triangle - because due to a questionable national park policy, many of the most beautiful trails get the black triangle as a predicate for less overrun paths instead of it means "access to climbing rock"

The Rauschentor (Rauschen Gate) lies above the Rauschengrund valley, northwest of Schmilka. It's not a typical tourist attraction with railings and a kiosk, but rather a genuine piece of national park nature. The gate itself is an impressive vertical rock opening through which hikers can pass via a narrow path (climbing access required).
