Hiking

A charming staircase and a beautiful alternative to the wide, gravelly, root-covered path. For the most part, you simply climb a few wooden steps, with towering sandstone cliffs rising up on both sides in a wild and romantic fashion. The upper entrance/exit of the staircase offers a bit of variety, requiring the ascent of relatively steep stone steps. All the paths leading to climbing crags and viewpoints branch off from the staircase itself.

The Lehnsteig branches off to the left of the root path. In the upper part the Lehnsteig becomes quite steep. It is highly recommended as an alternative to the root path.
