The St. Cornelius Chapel, estimated to have been built in the 13th century, was first a separate church of the knightly Selincheim family. Later she was looked after by Jesuits. During World War II it was badly damaged and rebuilt. A pilgrimage route leads there from the city along the Obererft.

A nice place to stay. Directly at the children's farm and castle Reuschenberg.

The St. Cornelius Chapel is a Roman Catholic chapel in the Selikum district of Neuss. The first written evidence comes from 1573, archaeological finds suggest that the chapel was built in the 13th century in connection with the fortified knight seat Selikum. It is possible that the chapel was originally a separate church of the knightly Selincheim family. Since 1628 the Cornelius pilgrimage was looked after by Jesuits. After severe damage during the Second World War, the chapel was restored in 1950 in neo-Romanesque forms.
A pilgrim path leads from the city center along the Obererft to the chapel.
