It was named the worst bridge in Germany in a test by the German Automobile Club (ADAC).
Rust has so damaged the structure over the years that it is in need of renovation. It is old, after all, it was built as a steel arch bridge on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. That was in 1898. After all, we can admit without envy that this old architecture is probably much more durable than the cheap prestressed concrete craze of our time.
