    Hiking

Pico Viejo is a volcano located on the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). It is the second highest peak of Tenerife and the Canary Islands (after the Teide) with a height of 3,135 m above sea level, a huge crater approximately of 720 metres in diameter.

Legendary crater landscape with a unique view of the Teide.
Ascent on path 23 takes 3:30, descent from the cable car probably just under 2 hours. If you are planning the circular route from the Teide cable car: At the Finger Gottes there is only a bus at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. back to the cable car. Therefore park at the cable car outside the closets, which makes at 6 p.m. .. and stays closed...

From here you can take a look into the crater of Pico Viejo. Different hereditary colors conjure up a wonderful landscape. In addition, in good weather you have a view of El Hierro, la Gomera and La Palma. The imposing volcanic cone of the Teide shows in the other direction.
