Here the borders of 3 historical territories met: County Hanau, symbolized by the Hanau rafters. The imperial territory around the Somborn free court, which was also given to the Hanau counts as a fief at the time the boundary stones were set up and is therefore also provided with the Hanau rafter coat of arms. The third page of the three-markers shows the key symbol of St. Peter's Monastery in Mainz, which had sovereign rights here.

On the Grenzsteinwanderweg the attentive eyes will also discover 14 stony journeymen, they separated the counties of Hanau and the Kurmainzer property and in 1870 established the border between the kingdoms of Bavaria and Prussia. These are still current today as the state borders of Bavaria and Hesse.
