The Emil Schumacher Museum is dedicated to the life's work of the Hagen artist Emil Schumacher, one of the most important exponents of expressive painting in the second half of the 20th century. On three floors, the paintings, works on paper, ceramics and porcelain Emil Schumacher are shown in changing presentations. The museum's collection includes over 500 works from all of the artist's creative phases and goes back to a foundation made by his son, Ulrich Schumacher.
