Dambach-la-Ville Town Center

Dambach-la-Ville is a place in the Schwarzbachtal in the northern Vosges. Today the municipality consists of two villages, Dambach and Neunhoffen, as well as two hamlets, Wineckerthal and Neudoerfel.

Dambach was elevated to the status of a town in the 11th century and expanded into a fortified bishopric in the 14th century.

From 1871 until the end of the First World War, Dambach-la-Ville belonged to the German Reich as part of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Schlettstadt district in the Lower Alsace district.Wikipedia
