Tough off-road climb out of Hawes with some steep, rocky sections and a bit of hike-a-bike. We rode it on gravel bikes and had to get off and push on the rockier and rutted sections but most of it is very ridable in dry conditions. Once you've done all the climbing it's a beautiful traverse across the top of the fell until it eventually comes to a T-junction with Cam High Road. From here you can choose to continue down to Gearstones on the High Road or take a left and pick up the Pennine Bridleway across to Newby Head and down into Dent.

Beautiful gravel road up from Hawes to Cam High Road which is technical in places. You will have to walk parts with your gravel bike, but fortunately large parts of the climb are easy to cycle.
