Both side are pretty amazing - this particular side undulates all the way to the top and bost gradients of 20%! Not for the faint hearted!

Upper Wharfdale is lovely! Pick a day when there isn't a howling westerly & this is a thoroughly enjoyable climb. A wake up at Beckermonds leads to a brief flat to Oughtershaw. Immediately leaving the hamlet, ramps start to come at you. They're not savage, but will require a bit of Yorkshire 'udge'. A cattle grid marks halfway. Lovely views towards Ingleborough to your left. The steepest ramp is saved almost to the end. Short but punishing. Crest this & easy riding leads to the top at 595m. Views from here include Buttertubs, Semer Water & Wensleydale.
