    Another bridge that the city planner and architect Fritz Schumacher built. The name of the bridge and the street above it is dedicated to the founder of the order, Heilwig von der Lippe.

    The Heilwigbrücke is one of a series of bridges to cross the canalized Alster, which Schumacher designed architecturally for engineering between 1925 and 1930. The construction system is a two-hinged frame with a cantilever arm in reinforced concrete. The arched bridge is clad with facing concrete, which remains visible on the underside, and is otherwise faced with clinker bricks. An iron bridge railing forms the upper end.
